I am obsessed with my air fryer. Literally obsessed. I get excited when I plan my weekly meal prep menu because I know I’ll be adding one to two easy recipes that I will be making in the air fryer. These Air Fryer Beef Tips are now part of our meal prep repertoire!
411 on my Air Fryer
There are so many different types and brands of air fryers out there that it’s difficult to choose the perfect one. I got lucky because my trusty air fryer is a hand me down from my mom who originally got it as a gift from my coworker Leah who ordered it from QVC. Hope you followed that. Will and I nicknamed it “BB-8” because it’s bulky, white and looks like its namesake.
I’ve always made steak on the stovetop using my Pan Seared Steak technique, but sometimes it gets so smoky inside the house it triggers the smoke detector. Yikes! After a few batches of fries and chicken wings, I finally decided to try cooking steak (sliced into bite sized cubes) in the air fryer and boy, it came out ahmaaaaaazing!
Perks of using an Air Fryer
For starters, our house was smoke-free. I was totally hands off once these Air Fryer Beef Tips were cooking. Grease wasn’t splattering all over the stove, and there was no preheating involved before I had to cook the steak. The only thing I had to do while it was cooking is give the air fryer basket a good shake halfway to make sure each piece cooked evenly.
Dinner in less than 15 minutes
12 minutes in the air fryer at 380F is all it took to get medium cooked steak that’s bursting with flavor. If you prefer medium rare steak, bump down the cooking time to 9 minutes.
If you’ve never made steak in an air fryer before, or you’ve been looking for a super easy recipe to start with that will impress your family, grab all the ingredients that you need and make these Air Fryer Beef Tips!

Hello Jenny! I was wondering if this technique works with using a regular convection oven? I don’t have an air fryer unfortunately.
Jenny says
Yes it will! Cook it at 375F for 10-12 minutes. You can also pan fry it stovetop to make it easier 🙂

Jenny says
Yes you can!

going to make this today in my ninja foodi. can i use soy sauce instead of the coconut aminos?
Jenny says
Yes you can. Just reduce the amount of soy sauce so it’s not as salty.

Hi! Can I do this with wagyu?

WoW! I am amazed at this recipe. My Dad raises beef cows and, often, we get stew meat along with ground beef, steaks and roasts. FREE MEAT IS A BLESSING!
We don’t make stew that often and I didn’t want to waste the meat that we were given.
Your recipe not only proved that my Air Fryer can do dang near anything, it just put a smile on this guy’s face. Thank You!
